The future of Occupy is coming January 17th 2012

January 17th 2012 is Occupy Congress and then along with that is the first meeting of "The Peoples Congress" Where we will be uniting Occupy movements from around the country through complete democracy. It's going to be amazing. Bringing everyone together leaderless but with one voice. It will bring Occupy to a national stage where we can start to make the change we can all see is needed. I think so far on the list of topics for the first national GA are demands to our federal government for House & Senate term limits of 6 years and the reinstatement of The Glass - Steagall Act. I'm not sure if anything else has shown as much universal appeal as those two demands. I am pretty sure that getting getting rid of Corporate Personhood is going to end up in there along with some kind of reform on legal campaign contributions but I haven't heard for sure yet.

To be clear all issues, demands and really any decision The Peoples Congress makes will be by majority decision of the unified Occupy movements. All Occupy movements are welcome to participate. All of The Peoples Congress GA's will be Live Streamed or Ustreamed so "Facilitators" from each participating occupy can watch and know what we are bringing up for a national vote. Honestly our hope is to unify and give more power and growth to the Occupy Movement, not to take any focus away for the local Occupies that are badly needed in their own individual communities. In fact we believe this will add strength and support for each local Occupy involved when the public see's that WE the people can come together and make a real difference.

Our website http://thepeoplescongress.info/ that is currently under construction will be an open format so that all propositions may be debated and fully argued and researched. Each Occupy that chooses to participate in the peoples congress will have a vote on the topics of national importance. This will give us national cohesion when it comes to real change that we all agree is needed on a federal level. When a topic comes up for vote it will need a two thirds majority to pass. No one person can change or determine any decision made by The Peoples Congress. Each participating Occupy movement must bring the topic to vote at their own local GA and agree prior to casting their vote to the congress.

To qualify as a participating local Occupy movement you must have at least 100 local supporters and a minimum of 20 voters at your local GA to vote on a topic in order for your vote to count in The Peoples Congress. For larger Occupations you may set your rules as you see fit. We are only require minimums to keep nefarious individuals from attempting to sabotage the process.

We think uniting the different occupy movements is going to be the only way we can make true change on a federal level. Plus we think it will encourage everyone to learn why things have become so messed up in this country. Education is a real problem when it comes to the general American public. Most people don't understand why or how our economy ended up in the state it's in. Sorry I know I am rambling. I just really feel like we are on the precipice of change and if we can do it with reform we should try before revolution becomes the peoples bloody answer for the corruption that is our government.

To be clear the demands we decide on A. are not for us to go away if met because we fully intend on occupy being at the very least a major power for the people to speak their voice now and forever. B. are going to be brought up for a vote as people and different occupies present them. In no way will we allow the peoples congress to take power or influence away from any local occupy. This idea is to empower the movement not divide or hurt it in anyway. Being leaderless is our strength!

Transparency is also one of our true key points. Every process from the way topics are brought up to be voted on to every cent collected in donations or spent for anything will be public and displayed on the website. Also no money donated to The Peoples Congress will be spent without first being voted upon nationally. It is our dream to have a national legal fund for the defense of our constitutional rights as well but these are hopes and dreams that are far down the road.

What we need right now is support! We have and are contacting people in as many Occupies as possible but you can help too! Notify everyone you know. Spread the message via twitter and facebook. Bring it up at your local GA. If you don't have a local Occupy movement start one! You don't have to Occupy a public park or live in a tent to be a supporter. Just having a presence in you community is enough. This is America and for the first time since our founding fathers started this democracy we intend on EVERY vote to count and the people to truly be heard!

The Peoples Congress

As I said in my previous post, I have been tasked with finding facilitators from as many Occupy Movements as I can to help plan Occupy Congress this January 17th. If anyone would like to volunteer to come and do teach ins, entertainment, plan actions, catering or well anything to help it would be greatly appreciated. You can e-mail me and we can go from there.

I would also like to ask all occupations nation wide to be a part of "The Peoples Congress". Much like what the United States Congress is supposed to do for us but is too corrupt and is failing at, this The Peoples Congress would do. Every important decision that we would make from what to spend donations on to what demands we will make would be relayed via your occupations facilitator to your occupation where it would be brought up in your GA. You would vote on the proposition and then your facilitator would relay your occupations decision via a vote in The Peoples Congress.

While all the details haven't been completely ironed out yet, I think you can get the idea. It will be completely democratic and fair. No special intrusts or corporate influences. It's as fair and clear as it can be. I am sure we will have more details on this coming soon but I am trying to pass the info on as best I can as quickly as possible. If you have any questions or would like to have your occupation represented in The Peoples Congress please e-mail me here.

More updates to come!

US Gov. plans to block cell signals at Occupy Movements

I have seen many reports that our government plans to and has already in some cases block cellphone signals during moments of civil unrest i.e. Occupy protests. We know that the S.F.P.D. B.A.R.T. unit blocked cellphone access during a protest on August 11th 2011 in an attempt to keep protestors from calling friends for help. There was also a two hour outage during the Occupy N17 march. This may have been done in an attempt to try and stop live streaming video during violent arrests but we don't know. What we do know is as of right now the F.C.C. says blocking cell phone signals is illegal yet in at least one case we know the police have already done it.

The question now is what can we do to counter act if the police decide to do it again? Well one thing we could do is jam their communications right back. You don't believe me? Well take a look at this. By now I am sure we have all heard about the plan to Occupy Congress on January 17th 2012. So I did a little digging and in less than 20min I found the radio frequencies for all emergency departments in the District of Columbia and found out some interesting information. It seems that all the law enforcement agencies communicate on a small band of frequencies. Some of which are open to eavesdropping and the ones that aren't operate in P25 mode and are encrypted. The problem with P25 mode is that it's "highly vulnerable to jamming and unauthorized decryption".

I figure if a motivated individual or group of individuals wanted to listen in or jam the local and federal law enforcement during the January 17th action, all they would have to do is go to a website out of say China maybe and for the right price they could get everything they would need. To be clear I am not saying anyone should do anything like this I am just saying we could if we so desired. Now I am no lawyer but I would bet doing such a thing is illegal but than again so is blocking cellphone signals and as I have shown it didn't stop them.

Just sayin...

A letter to all Occupations in the US.

I would like to propose that Occupy demand two things.

1st I would like us to demand that all elected offices held on a federal level be subject to term limits of no more than 6 years in the congress/senate and as is already the case 8 years in the presidency. This would ensure that no company could buy enough seats in the House or Senate long enough to get any unfair laws passed to benefit them.

2nd I would like us to demand the Glass - Steagall Act reinstated to it's original form. (Please see the link I added for information on the Glass - Steagall Act.)

I realize I may not be right there with you but I think both of these demands are reasonable and contribute directly to why our nation is in such hard economic times. We as a country need to come together on demands if we ever hope to make things right again. I hope you will consider these demands. I will be presenting them to GA's across the country and I hope they will agree on them as well. We are the 99%!

Thank you for your time.

Largest Occupy Protest Planned #OccupyCongress #J17

Okay so as I have been asking for since the beginning of the Occupy Movement, we are going to Occupy Congress! I think it's important to show Congress who's country this is and who they represent! So I know on January 17th I will be in Washington DC with my cameras rolling practicing my 1st amendment rights! Where will you be? This is the largest protest we have planned yet! So pass this info on to everyone you know.

This is our country and it's time we take it back! This is the most important thing you will most likely ever do. Be a part of change! Stand up and act before it's too late! Our government has been working hard to stop us from being able to point out their short comings. They are passing laws that allow them to lock anyone up who speaks out against them and their corruption. Help us fix this country we call home!

We are the land of the free.
We are the home of the brave.
Let's act like it!

If you can help with webpage design, legal advise, event planning, logistics, media, or just would like to help please send an e-mail.

This plan is still in the basic stages but it's going to be huge! Please spread the word to everyone you know!

I have been asked to find a representative from every Occupy Movement I can to help with the planing and implementation of the upcoming Occupy Congress movement on January 17th 2012. Please send me a message and let me know if you have someone who would be willing to be your representative please e-mail me here.

Thank You
More info to come soon!

WAKE UP!

Okay so I have started posting a lot more news stories and have begun to get a lot more political on my personal facebook page with the 320 or so friends and family that I consider close enough to share my thoughts with. To be honest I turn down a lot of friend requests on facebook because I try to keep it more intimate of a setting where I post pictures of my kids and talk about personal things in my life. So you would expect that when my habits unexpectedly change and I start posting a lot of political reports people would pay a little bit of attention. I mean obviously someone i.e. ME who they supposedly care about is upset about something!

Now I know a lot of you are saying hey, get over yourself man. It’s the holiday season and people have their own problems etc. I understand that, I do but these aren’t just my problems things like what this article is about is EVERYONES problem! Our Government, The United States of Americas Federal Government is stripping us, the citizens of the United States of Americas rights as defined in the Constitution of the United States. Yet 90% of the people I feel are close to me and I care a great deal for are turning a blind eye to what is going on!

When I confront people they act as if it were someone elses job to ensure their rights are kept. As if some magical superhero is going to pop out of Obamas pants and stop the laws they are passing. Guess what people, THERE IS NO ONE ELSE! It’s your job! It’s my job! It’s every citizen of these united states job to ensure, police and fight for these freedoms we hold dear because I assure you if you don’t they will be stripped away under your very nose!

The current United States Federal and State Governments are run by big money corporations who want to exploit us and our land for as much money as they can get. Oh and don’t kid yourself it’s working and has been for decades. Things really hit the fan when President Bill Clinton recalled the Glass– Steagall Act in November of 1999. This took the ability of the federal reserve to regulate interest rates away and allowed bank holding companies to own other financial companies, effectively removing the separation that existed between investment banking which issued securities and commercial banks which accept deposits. Or in other words this allows your bank to gamble with the money you deposit in your bank account without your knowledge or permission!

Now I know you are going to say but our money is safe because it’s insured by the FDIC and you are correct but think about it for a second. The FDIC is federally funded by tax payers money. So if Bank of America for example, gambles 10% of their holdings on a coin toss and loses the FDIC or well we the tax payers have to cover the loss. But if they gamble your money and win, you don’t get a damn thing! Sound like a fair deal? Repealing the Glass – Steagall Act also led to the “To big to fail” companies like Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Goldman Sachs by allowing them to buy up all the smaller localized banks and giving them control over 60% of the worlds money. Oh and guess who’s money that is? That’s right it’s yours isn’t it? It’s the non-rich people. The top 1% are the people who have all the safe money in untraceable accounts in Switzerland or invested in things like gold so they can avoid paying taxes on it.

This all leads us to where we are now $15,000,000,000,000.00 in debt. Fifteen trillion dollars away from the great 90’s when we were all living the fast life, making money, raising our kids and sending them to college so they could have an easier and better life than we did. Now all these kids are getting out of college and there are no jobs for them. Unemployment might be at 9% across the board but for people 18 to 25 it’s at about 50% and they still have loans to pay back so the minimum wage jobs they can find can’t even cover their loan payments and transportation to and from work let alone food or a place to live.

That’s why we Occupy! Not because we’re lazy or made bad choices or want a hand out or up for that matter. We are trying to wake you poor bastards up before it’s too late and the corporations that fund and run government and own all the main stream media outlets strip us of the only rights we have left to open your eyes away! Don’t do it for me or my family and friends. Do it for yourself, your family and your friends . Do it now! Spread the word! Fight for your freedom, for our freedom before there is no freedom left!

I bet you are thinking what can I do. What difference can one person make? Well just look at Norman Borlaug and that should tell you what a difference just 1 person can make. In my opinion we need term limits on all public offices. This would limit the corporations ability to corrupt any controlling number of senators or congressmen. I also think we should limit anyone holding a public office to only earning their salary while holding that office, prohibiting corporate campaign contributions and by giving each candidate a cap on the amount of money they can use to run for office. I think we should reinstate the Glass –Steagell Act and keep banks from being able to become “to big to fail”. Beyond that I don’t know. Come up with your own ideas if you don’t agree with mine but DO SOMETHING!

A note to #OTHB & Jamal Crawford

The article that sparked this.

I have a problem with anything that divides us as a people in any way! We are all of the human race! Get over your petty differences! We are trying to change the world and make Dr. Kings dream come true, not divide us again by having special days for people that share a particular trait. Besides when you say a special day for people of color, aren’t we all people of color just some of us darker or lighter than others? Oh I bet you didn’t think about that when you were demanding we divide mister undercover police officer! I know I have no proof to support you being a police officer but if you are trying to divide us as a people you are on their side and might as well be one of them! We stand together as one!

United we stand!

Divided we fall!

Your choice people.

180 degrees of police brutality...

Sitting here watching the police actions in places like Wall St., Boston & Oakland I began to wonder. What if the shoe were on the other foot.

I wonder what would happen if in NY a police officer said or did something that the protestors didn't like so they grabbed him & drug him into the crowd. Throwing him to the ground as a group of them began beating him the remaining protestors surrounded the fallen officer and blocked the beating from view while physically keeping any other police officers from helping their fallen brother?

I wonder what would happen if in Boston the police were having a gathering & a mob of people just started grabbing officers one at a time throwing them on the ground, beating them, kneeling on their neck, zip-tie their hands & drug them away all while other people beat anyone who tried to help with metal polls & sprayed them in the eyes with pepper spray?

I wonder what would happen if in Oakland a mob of 600 people showed up in the middle of the night & overran 100 police officers capturing 75 of them and demanded $750,000.00 for their release? Then when their fellow officers show up to try and help their captured brothers and sisters the mob opened fire on them with beanbag shotguns, grenade launchers with CS gas rounds & threw flash bang grenades?

I wonder just what would happen?

To the mayors of all the cities that have ordered violence against American citizens exercising their 1st amendment rights:

We will continue to drain your cities and towns of funds until you break. We will not go away. We will not stop disrupting your cities infrastructure. We will drain you financially, physically and mentally until you give in to our demands. No matter how many of us you arrest. No matter how many of us you abuse. No matter how long it takes!

You can manipulate mainstream media all you want because the truth is out there. It is posted on twitter, facebook, youtube, ustream, livestream, pastebin, and many many other sites. We all carry video cameras, digital cameras, cellphones and webcams. For every device you confiscate during your illegal actions 10 more get away & post the proof within minuets.

You can't stop us! You can't arrest an idea! We have an army of hackers behind us to keep the proof up on the world wide web & make sure that the information pictures and videos are not only spread all over the world but saving and storing the data so you cant eliminate it. We also use our skills to identify the offenders & make sure they are held responsible for their illegal actions.

We are Legion.

We do not forgive.

We do not forget.

Expect us!

What's next for #OWS

After watching cities all across the country use violence to evict OWS protestors while the (Main Stream Media) or MSM pretty much ignore the fact that tens of thousands US citizens 1st amendment rights have been violated. It makes me wonder just how does OWS keep from falling off the radar just as the nation gears up for primary elections and major campaigning really starts to kick into high gear?

In the past groups have attempted to disrupt the Republican national convention only to have their movement cut off at the knees before they ever really made their point. There have been big plans like the N17 march with estimates as high as 34,000 people including unions and students as well as Occupiers. But to be honest it was kind of lack luster if you ask me. For the numbers that were drawn I expected to see the Brooklyn Bridge shut down but it wasn't. In fact the the most moving thing about that night was the 99% bat symbol on the Verizon Building.

It makes me wonder why with such strength in numbers no one thought about a way to really get the nations attention? I mean close down the bridge to all traffic and then stage a sit in and refuse to move! What are the NYPD going to do arrest 34,000 people? They had a hard enough time with the 700 from the first Brooklyn Bridge march. I'm not trying to take anything away from the amazing solidarity that was shown that day and to those of us that were there or watched it on live stream it was enough to give you chills. However it didn't capture the attention of the world the way that it should have.

Any good protest challenges authority. It forces change in a peaceful way! Imagine the headlines if the police were forced to remove all those people from the bridge? It would have been front page news all over the world! People would be moved and the movement would grow! That is what we need! We need huge statements!

So it begs the question, what's next? How do you keep the movement building? How do you effect the people that are on the fence? The ones that want change but think OWS is nothing more than an unorganized group of hippies. What we need to do is make headlines and inspire people! Shut down someplace huge like Grand Central Station during Monday morning rush hour or show up at the NYSE at 7am in the thousands & prevent anyone from entering the building causing a true delay in the opening bell!

It's not that I like to see people get arrested but any time there are mass arrests it makes headlines. Something like the Brooklyn Bridge arrests move people. If the press & photographers stay up on the pedestrian walkway while the protestors take over the traffic lanes gives the press the perfect vantage point to document without risk of an excuse for the NYPD to attack the press while they "follow orders" by beating and arresting protestors.

Or if you really want to cause a stir how about taking your message straight to Washington? Close down Congress by surrounding the building and not letting anyone in till they arrest every last one of you! As the camps slowly disappear from each city the movement is really starting to fizzle. Before this movement ends up like the Tea Party lets do something huge. Lets wake the world up!

Okay so this is my first actual "Blog" lets hope it gets better as I go.
